Conference Trip

Steve and I had the unexpected opportunity of attending conference again this last October. We decided to go by way of Colorado to see the beautiful, fall colors....after watching Joseph Smith and the Restoration in the Legacy Theater with Emily and Trace we made a mad rush to use our tickets for the conference center. The line went clear around two corners, but we did make it inside. There is nothing like the excitement in the air with the gathering of so many saints and interested investigators to receive counsel from the mountain top in Salt Lake City. I love it when everyone in the conference center stands to sing "The Spirit of God Like a Fire Is Burning" or "We Thank Thee Oh God For a Prophet"; everyone should have the opportunity of feeling the power of 25,000 singing in unison the words to those songs. The energy is amazing, it's always worth it to go and hear Nephi on the Tower.
When the four guys (Steve, Cord, Ransom, and Nate) attended Priesthood that evening I am told that Cord and Ransom who are known for their human interest stories enjoyed the interchange of a father and son in front of them, even finding good humor in it to the point that they had to escort themselves out of the building so as not to disrupt the spirit of the meeting. And, naturally, it would be the time that certain friends would call having recognized them on TV. Going to Conference is always a fun family time with three kids now living in Utah.
